Arguably Grace’s biggest ministry and closest partner, Grace Lutheran Preschool has been intertwined with the Loves Park community reaching back 75 years. The preschool started as a kindergarten in 1944 and grew to the ministry we celebrate today as we serve the Rockford area’s two, three and four year olds and their families.
Likamba Lutheran Parish, rural Arusha, Tanzania
Grace has been blessed to be in partnership with the Likamba Lutheran Parish of the North-Central Diocese in Tanzania since May 2005. Ron Gustafson, a member of Grace in Loves Park, has spearheaded the relationship with Likamba Parish, having made numerous trips to visit. In 2014, a delegation representing Grace went to meet our sister congregations.
The Likamba Parish is currently made up of 13 rural congregations and these include: Likamba, Enguartoto, Galilya, Olchorovus Losikito, Namayana, Enuoto, Imbibia, Nazarethi, Sayuni, Bethania, Olturumet, and Musa. Please keep these churches and Pastor Christopher in your prayers!
A partner for over 90 years, Loves Park school has been with Grace every step of the way. In 1924, Grace’s first service was held at Loves Park school.
GPS Faith Community is a sister church located in Machesney Park, IL that we feel a particular bond in loving and serving others in Jesus’ name. They are also part of the ELCA and combine efforts and resources on several ministries with Grace.
West Side Church Of God In Christ, Rockford
West Side COGIC is a sister church located in Rockford, IL that we enjoy building relationship with as well as loving and serving others in Jesus’ name. They are a partner in mission and ministry to the wider Rocford community, and we look forward to combining resources for outreach and social ministry.

Lutherdale was founded on the shores of Lauderdale Lakes in 1944 and has grown to serving over 10,000 people annually.
