Arguably Grace’s biggest ministry and closest partner, Grace Lutheran Preschool has been intertwined with the Loves Park community reaching back 70 years. The preschool started as a kindergarten and grew to serve the Rockford area’s three and four year olds. Today we serve over 130 children throughout the greater Rockford community.
Likamba Lutheran Parish, rural Arusha, Tanzania
Grace has been blessed to be in partnership with the Likamba Lutheran Parish of the North-Central Diocese in Tanzania since May 2005. Ron Gustafson, a member of Grace in Loves Park, has spearheaded the relationship with Likamba Parish, having made numerous trips to visit. On December 25, 2014, a delegation representing Grace will be going to meet our sister congregations.
The Likamba Parish is currently made up of 13 rural congregations and these include: Likamba, Enguartoto, Galilya, Olchorovus Losikito, Namayana, Enuoto, Imbibia, Nazarethi, Sayuni, Bethania, Olturumet, and Musa. Please keep these church and Pastor Christopher in your prayers!
A partner for over 90 years, Loves Park school has been with Grace every step of the way. In 1924, Grace’s first service was held at Loves Park school. Today, the kids of Loves Park Elementary are invited every Friday after school to Friday Fun Fest where kids get to learn, play and have fun.
GPS Faith Community is a sister church located in Machesney Park, IL that we feel a particular bond in loving and serving others in Jesus’ name. They are also part of the ELCA and combine efforts and resources on several ministries with Grace.

Lutherdale was founded on the shores of Lauderdale Lakes in 1944 and has grown to serving over 10,000 people annually.
